This is the first time this division has bloomed for me. I've had it about a year and a half. I fell in love with the flower the first time I laid eyes on it, and just had to have it. So far the color looks like it will be good. I'll update when it finally opens. The bud watch begins!

Looking good. How many growths before it bloomed?

It has 3 good sized newer growths two of which are not fully mature, and one old growth on it's way out. I bought this as a division from a local vendor who is no longer in business.

Here it is opened. It may open a little more but I think it's looking pretty good.

Great looking flower - I love the striping on the dorsal -beautiful regularity, dark color stripes. The pouch looks appropriately intense. Want to see how much the petals extend in another two weeks or so!

Here is my plant with both flowers fully open. I'm very pleased with it. I'm hoping for either multiple spikes or a higher flower count next season.
