Thanks. I hope my ceiling is high enough. I'd read here that these get really tall but when it hit 17" and the bud began to develop I thought it was done. I also have a hookerae that is just starting. Same behavior?

I think volonteanum grows among high grasses this fact can explain its extreme high stem.
