Paph. violascens timelines

Hello,
These two dark ones are quite synchronized. Each pair of pic was taken at the same time.
N°1 is one-growth. N°2 is three-growth. Unfortunately, I don't know which soil (acidic/basic) they come from ... How can I find out ?

I think these would prefer an acidic type mix and good shade but you seem to be doing ok!
