Got this one from Slipperking Rick (who got it from Little Frog). First time bloomer. This was a good size flower over 13cm. I selfed it and getting a good seed capsule, and it just started a new growth.

Dang Rick, you got the good one out of the batch so far! The other one I bloom was a nothing-of-a-flower.

Fair enough. If I had pollen I'd happily send it - wrong season for suks here.

Suks seem kind of like roths to me. Almost extinct in the wild but generally stay pretty common in cultivation.

And some people seem to grow the heck out of them and others lose them after a few years.

Until the last 5 years I was in that later camp of going through them in the 3-5 year range, but I've really turned around my barbata culture in the last 5 years, so going to give it another shot.

I've gone through quite a few blooming size suks whether or not I bred them, and gone through probably 3 or 4 compots of them. So this time's the charm:wink:
