Paph spicerianum

Hey all,

I am slowly getting back into orchids, so I just got this 2-growth spicerianum with one spike in bloom and another in bud from Sam at Orchid Inn:

I don't think it's fully open yet, so I'll post another pic when it is.

nice! at our last orchid society meeting, we had two members with spicerianums in flower. one was the 'normal' or large form with large plants and flowers, and the other was one of those 'small forms' where the plants and flowers were quite a bit smaller than the larger ones.
I asked the owner if she could trade me a piece of the smaller type when it got larger and she said yes! :clap: also she got it from carolina orchids, and the wife of owner was surprised when asked why 'it was so small, spicerianums are usually big'; she said that she had always seen small spicerianums (at least in their greenhouses). so, they may have more small versions of spicerianum
