The history of the plant is as follows. I bought a large compot of these on ebay years ago...like 8 years ago. They grew and grew and never bloomed. I split them up last year. Quite a few died and I wasn't too depressed about it because this cross didn't seem to be easy to bloom. I tried chilling them and nothing. So, I was rather amazed to see one of the plants in double spike. This is the only one out of the compot to bloom so far. It's been quite the wait. And although it's nice, this cross doesn't seem to be one for impatient folks.

Very nice and rewarding for your patience!! Niveum seems to be a very good parent, haven't seen a niveum hybrid that is not good looking! :)

I don't see a lot of niveum but it looks like a great flowering.

Something a bit different!
