One of my goals with breeding Brachy hybrids, is breeding for yellow Brachys. Here is a cross I made to reach that goal: Lucille Ball x wenshanense:
The one parent is Paph. Lucille Ball. It is a cross between Bella Lucia x concolor. At the time I made a bunch of concolor crosses, just to add vigor and yellow pigmentations to the Brachy hybrids. Here are some examples of Paph. Lucille Ball:
The next step was to breed Paph. Lucille Ball onto something that had a larger flower and was more "round" in shape. I choose one of our Paph. wenshanense's. This flower also had a lot of yellow in the petals. This is the other parent: Paph. wenshanense 'Round Dove':
