That's a rather pale/pastel one Ross. Very different and pretty.

If this is normal for this plant you may want to get it judged.

While I'm not familiar with the judging parameters for this species, I wasn't particularly impressed with the form. However, I also like the colors, which are striking in natural light.

I agree that its not real round, but if its good size it might be considered as "going off in a new direction" rather than aberant.

I prefer darker colors to lighter, but allot of folk go for the albas. Similarly the awards for nominal micranthum have probably been kind of maxed out, but people went nuts when var ebernum came on the scene, and pushed the awards into a new direction without improving the form of the species as a whole.
