(*) bought as this albino form but on flowering sadly it got "botanically disqualified" for having small anthocyanin (red) dots - I still love it very much and for sure it deserves a place in my collection!

Yet another one of Hilmar's (Assendorfer Orchideensucht), I presume?

But even if not as immaculate as one could wish for, I agree, it's, indeed, a lovely flower, and hadn't I killed my young plant from the same source, even before it flowered, it would definately have been a keeper my end, too!

Hilmar sells it as Paph. wolterianum var. album......but Paph. wolterianum is synonym of Paph. appletonianum

Definitely it's a lovely flower even if it isn't a true album in the sense of the botanically nomenclature. Since 21/2 years I've been growing also such a plant from Hilmar and when the flower turns out the same way as this one.....I will be more than satified.
