Hi there could I grow this orchid and bloom it secsesfully in a home setting with lower humidity? It is on Ecuagenera and i realy want it but dont want to waste money. Thanks

It is properly named Cyrtochilum macramthum.

The description at orchidspecies.com says it is cold growing and from montane cloud forests up to 3000 m elevation.

“Cloud forest” means saturated environment. Probably not a good candidate for in-home growing.

Seems like the growing conditions for some of the Sophronitis, I've succeeded killing off on my window sill... Prospectively, I would only go close to this kind of species, if I had a GH with a cooler section, good ventilation and a darn high humidity!
