Onc. Mem. Kiyoshi Akatsuka 'Volcano Queen'

This is one of the very few oncidiums I keep around. It's a faithful bloomer for me with a decent spray of flowers. The plant always looks, horrible though. It seems to attract mites and never looks fully healthy. But, it always blooms and lives on so I appreciate it's efforts It's growing in s/h in high light in the g.h.

Here's a close-up. The spotting actually looks almost black in person.

Too cute! I've never seen one with a brown blotch...great contrast. All mine are basic yellow.

The markings are quite interesting - I wonder how the pollenators would see it?
