Usual blooming for this plant-notice the spotting.This is what it has looked like for years.The plant is always kept in the same spot-out in the tent for the summer-then back in the greenhouse in the fall- in the same spot.
This year I have many more spks but the absence of the heavy spotting.See pic #2

I can only attribute it to the strange weather patterns we've had in the past year.The lack of heavy spotting to tone it down has made this guy really a bright yellow this year.Strange!I've had the plant since 1999(Feb)& this is the 1st time the bloom has looked this way in all the years it has bloomed for me.

Was the lighting any different?

Auburn generally adds the brown coloration.
