Today I had the possibility to visit some orchid-habitats in my area in South Bavaria and also nearby in Austria.
There I could find a lot of Epipactis palustris, Gymnadenia, Dactylorhiza and also Herminium monorchis in flower.
Here one of the habitats

Herminium monorchis, a very small orchid

Gymnadenia

Dactylorhiza traunsteineri finished the flower period

Lovely, thanks for the photos Olaf.
That albine form of Epipactis palustris is very nice, are they common?

Epipactis palustris is very common in our region, but the albine form is very rare. I know only one place where all the years 10-15 plants flower.

As always, in-situ shots are fantastic. Thank you.

I really wish I knew about more wet meadows around here.
