Tag reads [(Elfstone x henryanum) x ['Lavender Lovely' x P.Shamrock']. Not sure why the dorsal gets those clear cells at the margin.

Nice flower. I hate when hybridizers don't name their crosses, and you get something like [(Elfstone x henryanum) x ['Lavender Lovely' x P.Shamrock']!

I like the substance that the bloom has from the big dorsal and sepal. Nice!

If you look, a lot of Parvis have this problem.

We had awarded another henryanum hybrid some years ago that had the same clear cells. Of course I can't recall the reason why this occurs. I hate getting old. I found it. One of the parents is the same (Elfstone x henryanum) = Rainbow Sky http://www.csnjc.org/Aug2009/paphpacificrainbow.html probably genetic.

Luckily half of it has a name (Rainbow Sky), but the other half, pfft! Nothing. Nada. Zip.

That's a stunning little thing! It sure looks like a heck of a lot of charlesworthii shineing through, though not to the usual "too much" extend. It's lovely!
