Grand Chupacabra
I slacked off on taking photos of this plant until now that the final spike is on its way out. I don't have much luck with dends, but this one is small enough to fit under the lights (except when it is in bloom), and I loved the fragrance, color and antelope petals so I couldn't pass it up. It's been in bloom since January and has produced 7 spikes.
I purchased this at The Orchid Trail. The fragrance of this cross is the scent I most closely associate with their greenhouses because almost every time I visit they have a number of these and similar crosses in bloom. Funny enough, when I bought it, I mentioned this to the employee (I don't recall his name). His response? He didn't even think they were fragrant. So I guess his sniffer has gotten so accustomed to the plants that he doesn't even notice the scent anymore.
