Cycnoches Jean E. Monnier & Grobya galeata

[Kavanaru]

I have posted this plant before in another thread, but the flowers were not fully open... well, I decided to post the open flowers in another here and also give another photo of my Grobya galeata (2 spikes open now, and two more just growing behind.. plus strong fragrance of honey!)

the colour of the Jean E. Monnier are extra deep, so the white lip really pops out,

normally blooms last for about two weeks (grown indoors or grown outside in the tropics)... however, now I am a bit surprised that after moving the plants to the greenhouse, the Cycnoches flowers are lastibg for about 3-4 weeks (I used to grow them indoors until recently)... maybe it has to do with temp?

yes, I am very pleased with the color of this plant.. most of them that I have seen are lighter in color (but with some more spots)... I think I need to find a lighter one too... and the back cross with cooperii, which have the "metallic glossy" touch of cooperii added to it...
