Seems like most of the perlite stores sell you can't see in the bag. Is Miracle grow safe to mix in with bark for Paphs? I could buy a different brand but it's probably crushed just from being stacked and stuff.
I replaced perlite with pumice as it does not produce the nasty dust IMHO. Seems to work well.
where do you get that? Is it 'clean and washed'?
Get it locally here clean, graded and washed for $15 per 50 gallon bag.where do you get that? Is it 'clean and washed'?

I get it in an unmarked bag but happy to find out the actual source and let you know.Is there a brand I could look for in Oz? What size, grade is it?
Growstones hold less water than perlite but considerably more air. The only drawback with this product is the need to condition the 'stones' as theyInstead of perlite, I use "Growstone" it is recycled glass. It is supper heated and baked. It has the same porous texture as perlite but more durable. It also absorbs water.
