This is such a stunning flower, I had to blink twice to really see it!
Whenever you put plants like this you have to say "Cattleya" to register them, but I agee -- it will always be a Sophronitis.
This name changing brings up another issue. I know how to take care of Sophronitis coccinea. But how do you know what to do with Cattleya coccinea???!!!
This will always be Sophronitis to me. This is actually the species that introduced my to this genus and made the name stay in my head. So no way I'll change it in my head.
Just a lovely plant. There are a few for sale now in Europe coming (I think)from plants bought from a Japanese nursery at the recent WOC.
Any comments on culture?
