brian the repotting fool...

so i finally got some new media at the Mass Orchid Show and have started to repot the orchids at work. it's been somewhere between two and four years on these...
talk about dead roots. most of the plants i got to were potted down, some in the same pot.
for some reason i felt fairly intimidated, but as i progressed, it felt pretty good...
now, we'll see how they grow as, well, i did this at close to the worst time of year possible...

It never fails, new fresh media will do more for your plants than any fertilizer.
I do a lot of repotting in the fall, since I procrastinate all summer, and most do fine so I wouldn't worry.

I'm with Jon, my plants just seem to dig being repotted.
I'm curious to hear how you end up liking the mix.

I'm repotting now as well and what I've found, oddly, is that I kill the roots on complex paphs, but I do pretty well with species. I have no idea what is up with that.
