A walk through almost my entire garden with me as you half awake guide, fumbling through with lots of pauses, forgotten things, etc. (should have had that cup of coffee before shooting). Lots of stuff in there from daffodils, to trilliums, to epiphytes, cycads, agaves, and on down the line. In these days of tweets it is too long too - by about 10 minutes!

The Narcissus is 'Pheasant Eye' and one of the most fragrant of the poeticus
group. Lovely garden in such a small space. Seems like you should have
a Japanese Painted Fern in there somewhere...just for show.

Jealous, here.

Hey Dot, same thing in the UK right now - winter-like conditions and snow!

What zone are you in? Or does Japan have temperature zones like the US?

Those zones were made specifically for the US, but there is a map of Japanese zones at (pdf format) http://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/files/Maps/JapanHZMap.pdf
My zone is right around 9a-9b most winters, some closer to 10a.

Hey Abax, yeah, I thought that too, but it is a bit different - no red rim and the corona is just a bit too large. I'd classify it in Division 3 with poeticus roots, but what exact plant, I cannot say. A Japanese painted fern? Too cliche!

I suppose the painted fern is a bit cliche, but what the hell, it's beautiful.

There are variations in the poeticus group depending on the source of the
bulbs. Anyway, it looks exactly like some of my older PEs and you said it
was there when you moved into your home. Just as guess, of course.
