I posted a photo of a flowering of this plant in 2021, pictured again here. This year was somewhat of an improvement, no dents in the pouch but still a twist in the staminode. Maybe the third blooming will bring more improvement?

This is the first bloom of this plant. I wasn't expecting it to bloom on a plant this small. The overall spread of the plant is approx. 13" (33cm), the flowers are 8.5cm wide. There is a third flower hidden behind these two.

I don't stake my Phals and, as an indoor grower, the spikes always grow toward the window. This mini just seemed to have the perfect display.

This years bloom seems better than previous bloomings. The plant has two spikes, the one in bloom being the third flower on its spike and the other carrying its third "soon to open" bud. Both show at least two more buds/spike.
