I don't stake my Phals and, as an indoor grower, the spikes always grow toward the window. This mini just seemed to have the perfect display.

No, I start them out low on the bench while the spike is elongating and then move them up and a bit further from the window to make them begin to arch downward. If you think of how they grow in nature I consider it a more normal display.
