Stanhopea embreei

A plant with some large leaves grows in a rather shady part of my greenhouse and had a first spike with 4 flowers one week ago, a second flower spike is showing up!! Unfortunately, flowers only last for a few days!! Jean

Oh, that is so cool! I love stanhopeas - would like to grow them but I don't think it possible in my conditions!

you are right! It has a very strong fragrance, like some shoe cream!! Jean

I love Stanophea flowers. But even compared to Gongoras and Coryanthes these guys are too big for me to justify the GH space for such short lived flowers.
