Ray, is this plant a locally produced plant or imported from o/seas.????
The reason I ask is that a whisper about is that to produce the amount of seedlings of a cross offered for sale of any paricular cross seems to be at odds given the number of seedlings usually produced from a Paph pod of any type and that something is done in the Lab to increase the quantity.

This an other good example of what your are speeking. This is a Wössner hybrid (Wössner Kolosuk) with tesselated leaves. When I left the plant out of the pot I observed that the roots were not in good health. My personal vue on this situation is that the plant is not able to nourish itself correctly and thus to store enough energy to be able to flower correctly. A too low ambient relative humidity during the development of the bud flower is also to take into account.
