What it comes down to is caveat emptor: if you are a serious collector and plan on spending big bucks on plants, you do your due diligence. I thank Roth for this thread and perhaps we can tag along with him on a Japanese buying trip.

Wouldn't that be a great trip? I have visited Japan only once, and that was work related. I think it would be fantastic to tag along with someone who knows what they are doing. I understand that Dr Lehr goes to Japan every February to stock up on inventory.
