schlimii & schlimii

Two schlimii, my favourite species. The one in the right is what I call "caraeperro" a warm growing schlimii from the Eastern Cordillera with huge leaves and paler flowers.
To the left a "standard" one from the central Cordillera.
In both plants the flowers have been open for about 10 days... you can see how only in the first plant flowers remain flat.

Very interesting. I've never seen a schlimii with leaves that wide.
