That fat pouch is terrific and the whole flower is quite graceful.

It is a Phragmipedium richteri. Nice bloom.

I think so too Florian, but it was submitted for judging by Orchids Ltd. and awarded as Phrag. pearcei back in the day.

I am sure it is not a clean Phragmipedium pearcei. It has the richteri typical humps on the lip. How looks the habitus? Phragmipedium pearcei has a longer rhizome than other species.

As am I. Here's a photo of the foliage for Eric. I'm sure he will also agree that it's probably x richteri rather than pearcei.

The leave of pearcei is more slim and the habitus is different. Looks like a nice richteri for me...

Is this a Phrag. caricinum next to it with the bloom?
