This is the smallest form of longifolium, and the only one I can grow because I don't have the space for larger forms, or at least not until I complete my basement growing area, which I just started planning and buying materials for. The foliage is only 8" tall, and with the spike the plant is a foot tall. The bloom is 5" across. It has some form issues, but I still like it. Hopefully the next bud will turn out better. I can't take credit for this flowering, because I bought it in spike.

I would agree you couldn't take credit if you'd bought in bloom, but I think you can take at least some credit since you bought it in spike--not all spikes successfully make it to blooming, alas.

  I'm liking mine! Yours has on thing above mine - smaller size plant!
