If I see those above listed at a show, I would buy them all. I would dare say that it is the wish of most of us in the USA who do not have that many choices.
The emersonii huonglanae should be at the top of the list.
Delenatii (chinese type) ? There is no record that delenatii exists as a species in China (I thought it is endemic to middle part of Vietnam) Unless central Vietnam is already starting to be remapped as a province of China.;)

Hello Hien,
delenatii chinese Typ , leaves and flower are small than delenatii vietnamense :sob:

Hello Hien,

paph. micranthum var. eburneum , correctly name or not? :sob:

 Hien, secret foreign officers of the Democratic Nation of China are on their way to see you now! Make sure you leave your plants to me in your will. However, I concur with your assessment of the listed plants.

eburneum? Could be, I've only seen them in compot. the leaves have a 'blue-ish' tint compared to micranthum. Kind of like the color of Paph. Ho Chi Mihn leaves.

Hello Hien,
paph. emersonii huonglanae ?:sob:

paphiopedilum dianthum ?:sob:

The one who can really answer these questions is Sanderianum. he has extensive knowledge of vietnamese paphs.
-On the huonglanae, the leaves look right, there is more chance that they are if the nursery is vietnamese (although, Taiwanese & japanese nurseries also have them)
Emersonii varies widely, so I am not sure you could tell untill it flower.
Did you see the huonglanae photos posted by Sanderianum on this forum? Notice the deep red pouch color on most of them.

Yes Michael!@! huonglanae all the way

Hakone, What are you doing with pot after pot of all these rare Paphs? You starting your own business?

Hakone,
paph. micranthum var. eburneum is the white pouched micranthum. Not all flower parts will be albinistic. The pouch may not be completly white either.

Hello SlipperKing,

without bloom, as I can differentiate:

- paph. micranthum var. eburneum
- paph. micranthum var. ganxii

They look like collected plants! :poke:

The photos are probably from nurseries in Vietnam. I believe that orchids (or other plants collecting) is not illegal in the country. So we can not be too hard judging others by our way of life.
From what I heard from my uncle, he used to take trip into the forests to search for orchids. Also you would see them sold bare root in baskets, in bunches at stalls along the road by highland minorities.
I think some vietnamese nurseries start to import flaskings from Taiwan (It is what we used to say in Vietnam:" like carrying fire wood back to the forest") an ironic expression when you do something not logical.
I believe it is a mistake if they don't do flasking inside the country. Because likes Sanderianum said that some of the flasks are not what they are. These vietnamese nurseries can not control the outcome/identity of the species or hybrids if they do not do the flasking themselves. It is better for them to buy collected plants and bloom them out to be certain of the look.
I do agree that VN needs to establish some national parks or reservations. But it is not compassionate to let people starve of their mean to survive (always, think this first, how do peoples earn a living if they don't have modern jobs like us, and even peoples with jobs like us, really it is just the grace of God, our comfortable way of life could be shattered to dust if our bosses decide to fire us, or our companies were shut down and shipped overseas. These days, there are so much outsourcing that we are as vulnerable as the highland minorities in Vietnam, in fact we are more vulnerable because we have morgages, credit card debts, costly standard of livings, even price of gas for transportation to find new jobs. our existences are actually more complicate & precarious then the aboriginals way of life)
