Paphinia herrerae

Lovely and quite unusual. Don't ever repot it; it will die...
or at least mine did. Paphinia hate having disturbed roots
as far as I can tell.

Not really a problem for my cristata (repotted every year and blooming almost all year long), but yes, P. herrerae seems to be trickier for this... Although my alba recovered quickly after having removed from the cork bark where it has been mounted by the previous grower.
 
Ery, pay no attention to me. I'm paranoid about Paphinia
in general and this one in particular. I had a beautiful, large plant that was growing and blooming so well. Then
I repotted and it was all downhill after that. Perhaps it was just the wrong time of year for repotting...who knows???

I know what you mean... Maybe it is a matter of species or because the plant was so large it became difficult to manage??
