Paph. Salvadore Dali

This cross just seems to add confusion to an already confusing section. The hybrid is a cross between Paph. liemianum x victoria-regina. The plant has been carrying two flowers for a week whereas previous bloomings have dropped the first flower shortly after the second one opened. The plant is large with a leaf span of 2'.

Confusing but very colorful cross! Sadly, I killed one of these a few years back and have not seen them for sale since.

sort of remind me of Mr. Dali's facial hair at the time I

Mr. Dali had a showing at the university where I taught and
I went by the art dept. to see the paintings. He was there
and I introduced myself and we discussed some of his
work. At that time, he had a crazy, twirling mustache
that reminded me of this flower's petals. Make sense?

I don't have much experience with hybrids of Cochlopetalum, but I'd say the only species of this section that I've had and was on the smaller side was primulinum.

Most liemianum also are not very large plants, about the same leafspan as a spicerianum.
