Paph. primulinum var. aureum

Here's my primulinum in bloom. This is weird becoz it blooms 2 buds and blasts the next 2 buds before blooming again. Very yellow in person.

A very pure yellow, charming flower. I think I know where it get one of these, might be a tad on the expensive side though.

Just a point of taxonomy. I believe the yellow form of primulinum was the original described form of primulinum. Therefore, the name need only be Paph. primulinum. The "var. aureum" is not needed. Is this correct or am I mistaken?

var. aureum is supposed to be a more intense yellow. I have seen the typical primulinum species and it is yellow some parts bordering greenish. But this one is armeniacum-yellow.

That is my understanding.
