Hope your all not sick of this hybrid already... Trying some photography again, it's the only orchid in bloom right now.

Here's what it looks like when the lights were further away (indirect light)



With lights closer (indirect light)



So? What do you all think? I used LED flashlights, car reflectors, a stool, fabric, duct tape, a tripod, and a camera. You should have seen the set up! I used the car reflectors to reflect indirect light on the flower.

Sounds cool. The closer light shoot looks better (in my opinion). Good job.

The second PIC is my choice. You need to position a reflector from above to remove the shadows on the lower dorsal, the stami and the front of the pouch.

I think the second photo's colors are more accurate, but like Rick, I'd like to see the light a little more diffused.

I, too, would light from above or add a reflector below - buy a cheap silver, fold-able eBay one.
