Must be the time of year for the Lynleighs. Heres mine, the bud took forever to open but it was worth the wait.

Many of these have double buds and some don't.. Both of mine have a single large bud/flower.

At any rate it was worth the waiting. P. Lynleigh Koopowitz is a really showy hybrid and the colouration of the staminode is magnificent.

I have two plants of P. Lynleigh Koopowitz open at this time. Each plant was 2 flower spikes but each spike only has a single flower. I just noticed another one in bud in the green house. This will be a single spike and once again it looks like it will only be a single flower.

I don't know if the cross makes a difference, but the cross on this one is (delenatii " Pink Partridge" X malipoense " Jolly Green Giant " FCC/AOS ). Maybe thats why two buds.
