This is a cross that is extremely variable. Some are duds and some are very nice, like the one in this thread.
It's been open for a few days. It hasn't looked like it has expanded any more but I'll keep watch.
I've been reluctant to purchase this hybrid because of the "dogs" I've seen but am quite happy with it.

Well now here's another one for the wish list! Beautiful. I love the markings.
Nicely done, and two flowers too.
Fairrieanums give such a beautifully curvature to the flowers esp the petals. What stands out for a great flower is if the dorsal sepal stands up straight. Combined that with the petal curvatures will make it look like a priceless celadon vase.
