Bought in spike. First bloom. Paph. haynaldianum ("Bear-12" x "Bear-15")

Experts, what should one look for in an awardable specimen?

As for an award, one would look for stronger and more coverage of pink in the dorsal. Petals held more horizontal and preferably petal tips facing forward, like your tips are now. A stronger pouch color would really set it off. Unfortunately, most haynalds are light in color. 4-6 flowers would get some attention to, the higher the better

Thanks Wendy!

So here's a newb question for you all…I've seen some haynaldianum with pointed petals while my plant's are more rounded. Is one more of a preferred form than the other?
