This is the plant that bloomed for the first time last year and that had no spotting. I guess it just needed to grow up. Maybe the moral is always give them a second chance.

Parkside. This was the first orchid I ever bought on line.

That is a huge difference Ed. Post those pictures side by side, and you'd think you have 2 different species.
