Orchid Show @ New York Botanical Garden

Hey all,
I'm planning to go to the Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden on March 18. Anyone wanna come?

I went a couple of years ago and the crowds were a turn off. The plants in the gift store were also very overly priced.

I'm going on February 25, for member's weekend. Maybe it won't be so crowded. Ron, I don't know, it was because of the show there that I found my interest in orchids. I'm bringing my husband (hopefully he'll catch the fever) and I'll be going again with good friend who shares adventures with me.

I think a non weekend would be a better time to attend. I did not mean to infer that the show wasn't worth going to but for a 6 hour round trip for me and then to deal with the crowds, it wasn't worth it to me. I much prefer the NY show in April.

I'm planning to go during the week with my adventuresome friend. Being a novice I'd like to take a workshop or two.
