I agree and have some trianaes last almost 3-4 weeks in pristine shape and 2-3 weeks after in slow wilt (starting at sepal tips).

Me too... but I guess, Istvan kept it as long as he could as an experiment to see just how long the flowering would last...

Am I right in assuming that, Istvan, or didn't you simply not have the heart to cut it earlier?

It depends on the condition of the plant and the season of the year. Eg. I cut if plant is not in the best condition, irrespectively on the season.I cut on late fall or winter, irrespectively on the condition of plant. I don t cut on spring and summer, if plant is in good condition. This plant is in good condition and bloomed in May so i did not cut.
