MDC x Jason Fischer

Hi,

Not really sure if this parentage is correct or not.
This is the first flowering from a mature growth about 18 inches across.
Nice flower with a couple of teeth on the petals so maybe it is polyploid.

Doesn't look like a Phrag. Robert C. Silich. I would expect a deeper red color and a shape more like Jason Fischer with more horizontally held petals. I think Robert Quene' (Dr. Orchid) posted a couple of photos on ST of RCS a while back for comparison.

I agree. The colour is far too purplish. I cannot see any MDC in the flower at all.
The plants was bought as a seedling from Elsner orchids who imported a batch of seedlings from the US. I don’t know who she bought them from.
Anyway at the end of the day I quite like the flower, there is a branch on the spike so maybe there will be more to come from this plant on future growths.

The proper identification is nice, but if I like the plant I don't really care what
it's called. I like this flower horns and all.
