I am not a great grower, I find keeping humidity up to be very difficult to be honest. Winter is ok as the humidity is naturally high here anyway but summer is hard.
The basics of what I do, keep in mind I live in a temperate climate and grow outside all year round. It's cool climate in winter and warm to hot in summer. So I grow in Sphagnum, use minimal fertiliser although i use a small amount. 50% shade in winter and 70% shade in summer.
Open shade cloth on the orchid house allows natural air movement all year round and I mist the plants often in summer. If the temp gets about 90F I bring the plants inside my home in trays and keep them in airconditioning until the hot weather passes. Then when the temps are a bit lower I take them back out.
I water twice a week in winter and 3 or 4 times in summer.
I mix some sponge rock (perlite) with the sphaghum moss.
Not sure what else to tell you, I keep things fairly simple.
