Hi All,

This is Lycaste Dainty (campbellii 'Shan' x candida) that I got from Lehua this past November. It had 4 spikes but 2 blasted. I like the bloom, but I don't see this clone as an improvement over its campbellii parent. Also, it's a small bloom on a big plant. I don't think it'll be staying in my collection.

Got the same plant about year ago. Was planing to get rid of it because the bloom was not impressive but this spring it blooms again with about 12 flowers. The flowers are small but the plant itself is not big.

Lehua's site indicates this cross is pretty variable. I happened to get a clone that mirrors the campbellii parent. I had a campbellii a while back and really liked it. It put out a lot of blooms and was compact, which is important to me as I have limited space growing under lights.

I can't detect any fragrance. Which isn't surprising because orchid scent is a myth.
