I have good news and bad

My phrag Grande opened it's first bud overnight! I bought it in spike and have been waiting anxiously

I also received my shipment from Paphiness today. My lowii and Besseae are fine; however, my schlimii lost it's only bud... the spike broke. I am sad. I wonder if it will get another spike or bud, and should I cut the spike off, or leave it alone?

If it's really broken, then yes cut it. I don't think phrags restart from breaks like tolumnias.

Cut or break it off if it's broken. New spikes will come on new growths.
