Look at all the good stuff in this fertilizer. But it's slow release, in granules... how much to use? Want to try it on my big hybrid multis.

It is the complete imprecision of these products that make me avoid them.
Does the label provide any sort of time/temperature chart or relationship, or do they give an amount/pot, by size?
All such products are fertilizer encapsulated in porous polymer coatings, with the pores changing size with temperature, so once they are wet, the warmer the temp, the faster the release.
The growers that I know that do use slow-release fertilizers add a very small amount (whatever that means) to their potting mix and continue to feed with water soluble products.

I would never use a fertilizer that didn't have at least half of the nitrogen being the soluble type.
yeah, i think I've fried them already. i will never learn! I put about 10 to 15 individual grains in each pot about 2 weeks ago and I'm starting to see streaking on the leaves and burnt tips.
