Yes, this auction has been posted before. And it prompted me to ask the non-U.S. ST members what these plants go for typically where they live. Surely, this price is rather high.

yeas we discussed it before,
so when you want an illegal one import it from europe its much cheaper and you will recive a breaded one. And here are they are legal.

Have a cross armeniacum X hangianum, but did not flower for 2 years.
Had problems with it, and it nearly was gone.
Now have again 2 small growth.

It's big. But I think there is a little perspective trickery going on here.

The sad thing is, someone will probably buy it for that price.

I got a 1 growth bs plant 3 years ago for 30 Euros. It is 2 growths now, but did not yet bloom; so not sure if it really is :) !!! Jean

WOW!!!!
or are you giving us a little april fools?

No april fools, I believe Jason mentioned that was what he saw in Japan.
I agree with Eric's & Fren's observation that:
-horizontal spread is likely the longer one in most cases,
and
-most of the time the flower form may be less round (but round form is a criteria for judging not a matter of individual taste)

My friends have hangianums that bloom on one growth plants. Sometimes, they flower on the first growth when the second growth is still small.
