Fumi's Delight x malipoense
I bought this as a small plant a few years ago.
It has been a good grower and attempted to flower early one, three years ago.
The sheath sat low for many months before finally turning brown.
A new fan started shortly after that, and it came into spike again early last year.
Same story repeated itself. it sat there for many months, but at least it progressed to show the tiny bud before dying.
A small new growth was already on its way by October and that growth is now in bloom.
This last growth only developed two leaves as opposed to 4-5 like on previous growths, and the spike grew without taking too much time at all.
Large green flower. Pouch has issues, but other than that, I like it!
I wonder if the green tone will fade into yellow. Time will tell.
That spike is two feet tall.
