After 4 years and 3 expensive deceased plants later, I’ve successfully grown and bloomed this rare species I got from Wenqing Perner.

Plant is succulent-like with sharp leaves that resemble daggers. The single ruby red flower is borne on the top of growth, and supposed to bloom sequentially. The size of entire flower is 1 cm in NS. But it makes up this minuscule size with that intense blood red flower. I just adore the plant.

Quite a lovely contrast between leaves and flower color. Insects must be drawn straight
to the flower. No fooling' around.

I wonder if it’s a fly that pollinates it.
