Cypripediums In MN Landscape Aboretum

I was visiting the MN Landscape Aboretum and came across this large area of cypripedium growing in a swampy area. It was fortunate that I was visiting then or the blooms would have faded. It was so impressive! There was a sign also saying there was purple fringed orchids there too, but frankly, I didn't see any. Anyway, enjoy the cypripedium blooms!

Purple fringed orchids won't bloom there till mid July. They'd have only been an inch or two above the surface when you were there.
