My coerulean Cattleya Valentine is blooming nicely. Its a primary hybrid of Cattleya loddigesii x Cattleya warneri, registered in 1900. This one is from a re-make along the way, but I'm not sure who made it, using the "blue" forms of the species. The fragrant flowers are five inches (12.5cm) across. The photo shows two inflorescences and there are two more coming along.

Very beautiful plant Ed. I have a hybrid of this one with cattleya walkeriana. I waits for its first blooming.
