Cattleya trianae fm. concolor

I received this plant about 4 years ago from Taiwan and it is finally blooming with one (me with sad face) flower. Large petals and good smooth pink color. I think I’ll call her Cotton Candy LoL.



Lip wonky from opening behind leaves while I was away. I’ll be more prepared next time.

NS = 15 cm
Petals = 8 x 6.5 cm

In spike again, FINALLY with two buds. One is beginning to open… hopefully by Sunday afternoon it will expand more fully and get that cotton candy color. Just lovely shades of pink at the moment.

Today it’s expanded more. Straight dorsal for Abax’s viewing pleasure lol. NS 13.5 cm.

Leslie, shape and stance of the flower is much better this time than with the first flowering ..... but the colour is more delicate or pale at the moment. Do you think it will get more intense with time ?

Sometimes it gets darker… other times no… I’ll update if flower is still up when I’m back from Brazil in 2 weeks.
